Specifying Quantities of Assigned Custom Costs

To specify the quantity of an assigned custom cost

With the Custom Cost Assignment Properties dialog box, you can specify the quantity of an assigned custom cost that will be required for the design.
  1. From the list of assigned facilities and units displayed in the Design Workspace, right-click the custom cost that requires adjustment and select Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Custom Cost Assignment Properties dialog box.
  2. In the Quantity box, type how many of the item will be required for the design and click OK.
  1. From the View menu of the Design Assistant, select the Expand All option to display all assigned custom costs.
  2. In the Design Workspace, hold down the Control key and select the assigned custom costs that you want to edit.
  3. Right-click any selected items and choose Properties from the shortcut menu to open the Custom Cost Assignment Properties dialog box.
    Note: If any values are not the same for all the selected units, you will see a value of "< --- Multiple Values --- >".
  4. Click the attribute value that you want to change.
    Note: If you select an attribute that has the multiple values, a message warns you that you are about to edit an attribute with multiple values. Click Yes to continue.
  5. From the drop-down list or drop-down calendar, select a new value and click OK.
  6. Specify the new value and click OK.
